Mauricio Ginestra has developed his vast experience in Hispanic and Latin America PR working in firms such as Burson Marsteller and Newlink Group as an account executive handling brand positioning and media relations for brands such as Symantec, Skype, Mc Donalds, HBO Latin America, Pioneer and Aeromexico. Mauricio has also focused on crisis management in tourism practices for Cancún, Panamá and the Mexico Tourism Board, as well as corporate giants like Target and Aio Wireless.
Today Mauricio works as an account executive for Copello, focusing on media relations, strategic communications, and social media for brands such as DIRECTV and various local projects. He also generates content for www.popticular.com, a blog focused on pop culture geared towards US Hispanic audiences, where Mauricio has reviewed concerts such as P!nk and Ricardo Arjona. His newest project in the works involves connecting his passion in photography as part of his day-to-day activities.
Mauricio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Florida International University, specializing in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. He also received an Associates Degree in Advertising in his hometown Caracas,Venezuela, where he used to work for one of the two main editorial houses: ‘El Nacional’. Mauricio is fluent in English and Spanish, and lives with his dog “Benito” in Miami, Florida.
